Tritium gas light

 

Tritium lamp: Tritium lamp is produced by the decay of tritium gas. Beta radiation stimulates the luminescence of materials, also called beta lamps. Characterized by the absence of charge, the luminous intensity and lifetime are determined by the half-life of tritium (about 12.5 years). The general service life is about 15 years. Tritium does not exist in nature. (cosmic high-energy neutron bombardment will produce trace and negligible). At present, the neutron of the reactor is prepared by using lithium fluoride, lithium carbonate or lithium magnesium alloy as target material. And because of its low power, can not be widely used, usually as a harsh condition of the instructions lighting.
